Father and son duo Will Smith and Jaden Smith will star together in a new science fiction adventure film called 1000 A.E. but don’t expect to bust out the popcorn and Sugar Babies until June 7, 2013; that’s the official release date Sony/Columbia Pictures has set for the film.
The new flick is being helmed by Sixth Sense director M. Night Shyamalan and is described as a “futuristic science fiction adventure film,” with a story that takes place “far in the future where a young boy has to navigate an abandoned planet on a space ship that has crashed. On board the ship is his estranged father.”
Well, let’s hope the box office success of the film will at least be on par with The Sixth Sense (672 million worldwide), because all of Shyamalan’s films after Sense have not fared so hot.
